If you were alive in the late 60's and early 70's, you probably remember that a man identifying himself as Zodiac or Sam began writing letters to San Francisco newspapers claiming to the be killer of a number of young adults. He verified his identity by divulging details of the murders that only the police and killer would know. Robert, a young political cartoonist at the San Francisco Chronicle, becomes interested in the case and eventually decides to write a book about the killings and the killer. But first, he must find the killer even though the police in several counties have failed to do so-at least substantially well for a criminal case.
