Brook Shields stars as Allison Chandler, who writes murder mysteries from her hometown in New England(yes it's been done before!). She meets a young wannabe writer, Andi, who wants to solve the murder of a book critic which took place after an awards ceremony. Eventually, they hook up. Predictably, the new local Sheriff is pretty cute-Tom Cavanaugh ie Jack. First season on Acorn has 4 episodes with each 45 minutes long. Pretty entertaining. Men won't hate it, but the stars are women!
