Like many Americans, I knew very little about the life of George Washington, the revered Father of our country. This documentary starring Nicholas Rowe as Washington with Jeff Daniels narrating and many historians commenting is fascinating. For example, I had no idea that George was considered a real catch for Martha, a rich widow, because he was a "stud". Wow! His early career had some mishaps but Washington learned from them and became the man, perhaps the only man, who could win the Revolutionary War and establish our Republic. I loved it! It was shown on the History Channel. You can find ways to stream it soon. The History Channel and Netflix should be available later.
