Nominated for two Oscars, entertaining story of JImmy Stewart bumbling a bit after marrying Francey, a New York nightclub singer whom he brings back to his college town. Stewart is a Professor of Botany and is overshadowed by his father, the College President played by Charles Coburn, one of my favorite actors. Beulah Bondi plays his delicate but sensible mother. Francey accidentally makes a bad first impression but is entertaining in the process. Enjoyable movie fromthe 30's!
