Chief Chick Comments

The film is essential for an understanding of "riots" of the summer of 1968 during the Democratic Convention in Chicago. As someone who was the same age as the young men dying in Vietnam, the courage and ardor of these defendants is demostrated clearly. Judge Hoffman, even at the time, was considered a little off balance and deemed "unqualified" by a majority of trial lawyers in Chicago. The final scene is very moving. The performances are very, very good. Please see this film. Winner of a Golden Globe for best screenplay to Aaron Sorkin.
