While hopeful at the end, this movie is a bit dour as you see Sutter, well played by Miles Teller, drink away his senior year in high school even after he meets the special, Aimee, played beautifully by Shailene Woodley. Surprisingly, Aimee works her way into Sutter's heart and forgives him even after he almost accidentally kills her. You see the waste of this boy's life and want him to "get it".
