This touching story is based on an article by Mark O'Brien who was felled by polio at age 8. He must sleep in an iron lung but he does have sensations in his body and seeks the advice of his priest about going to a sex surrogate. Helen Hunt bravely plays Cheryl the sex therapist who comes to know Mark well. Despite his limited life, Mark touches others uniquely. John Hawkes is remarkable as Mark. We see William H Macy as his entertaining priest and Rhea Pearlman and Adam Arkin in limited scenes as well.

Every teen should be required to watch this movie to see that sex is really about intimacy. Helen Hunt was supberb.
