Chief Chick Comments

Dustin Hoffman directs this British film about a beautiful retirement home in the English Countryside. When Maggie Smith arrives as a new resident, her ex husband is not thrilled. However, directed by Michael Gambon's character, the retired musicians who live in the home are staging a revue to raise money to save their lovely home. Will the four retired opera singers reunite to sing the famous Quartet from Verdi's Rigoletto?

Some fave Brit stars like Pauline Collins enjoy chewing the scenery (but they do it so well). The trailers provoked a smile when they indicated that all the performers (other than the big stars) are actually retired musicians who had big careers. Most enjoyable.
