This space fantasy is definitely a good date movie for both men and women. On the way to a distant plant 120 years away, a meteor shower damages the spacecraft and wakes up Jim Preston from his pod. He is alone on the ship with only the company of Michael Sheen's character who is a bartender/robot. As a guy with mechanical know how, he tries everything to try to put himself to sleep or find another solution as his loneliness deepens. About a year later, Aurora Lane, a writer awakens and she and Pratt are drawn to each other. When a member of the crew awakens, they find out that the ship is doomed because of the damage. I actually enjoyed the amenities of the spacecraft which include a swimmming pool, dance contests, and walks on the outside of the spaceship. As I left the very new theater in which I saw the movie, I felt that I was actually on the spaceship which was a very wierd feeling. Jennifer Lawrence is one of my favorites and Chris Pratt is gorgeous. They play real people. Hope you like it!
