Widely different views on this film starring Matthew McConaughy( who predictably appears without a shirt). Two boys discover a boat washed into a tree after a flood. While investigating the boat they realize someone has been living there. Then they meet Mud, the fugitive, who needs their help to move on. While clumsily done, some people still enjoy the story. I really liked this movie. Yes, Matthew McConaughey looks pretty amazing shirtless & dirty, but the 2 boys are who I was blown away with. With hints of "Stand by Me", this coming of age movie kept my attention and made me both smile & laugh out loud. This movie far exceeded my expectations and was truly believable.
