Magical Fairy Tale as Leslie Manville shines as British cleaning lady, Ava Harris, who dreams of having a Dior gown. In 1957 that would have cost 500 British pounds or more than $1500. Ava is a widow and a small series of surprises and hard work help her achieve a trip to Paris. Of course, nothing goes as planned, but while she is helping others change, she herself transforms. Christian Dior himself died in late 1957 of a sudden heart attack and YSL took over the fashion house where he had already been chosen by Dior as the successor. I kept expecting Yves to round the corner at any time, but he did not! Beautiful, beautiful fashion presented with the assistance of The House of Dior. Loved the film. In theaters and streaming as well.

What a surprisingly delightful movie. My wife and I both enjoyed it, and I have recommended it to many of my friends. Made me want to visit London and Paris.
