The music and cinematography of this Danish gem is beautiful. Johanna once was engaged to Jakob but wanted to excel at dance competitions and changed partners. A car crash left her crippled, and later she marries a pastor who prays fervently that Johanna will walk again. Even though she is in a wheelchair, she teaches at the local dance studio now inherited by Jakob. Her husband, Erik, and young son, Christian, eventually realize that she is drifting from them as Jakob's love for her is rekindled
