Chief Chick Comments
Greg has been trying to stay under every group's radar in high school. Into his senior year, he has been successful until his mother badgers him into visiting a friend's daughter, Rachel, who has been diagnosed with Acute Leukemia. Until this point, Greg spent his time in school and with his friend/co-worker, Earl, making hilarious knock offs of famous movies. For example 2:38pm Cowboy instead of Midnight Cowboy. Anyway, he and Rachel do become friends and Earl occasionally joins them while Rachel becomes increasingly weaker. While I have marked this a "coming of age" movie for teenagers, the movie reminded me of the awkwardness and intense feelings of high school even though I have been long gone from senior prom! Not a great movie, but worth a watch.
