"Practically Perfect in Every Way" - that's Mary Poppins whether it is the original played by Julie Andrews or this continuation of the story in which Mary Poppins is played by the delightful Emily Blunt with Lin-Manual Miranda as Jack, former chimney sweep now lamplighter. Happy, happy movie since we are sure all the nasty bits will be resolved! Lovely songs, lovely singers, lovely cast. Children will love it as will you. Michael Banks has three adorable children, but their mother has died in the last year. He is about to lose the family home. Of course, Mary Poppins comes to the rescue. Loved seeing a scene with Meryl Streep, another with Dick Van Dyke, and another with Angela Lansbury. What fun!
