One has to go way back to the 1930's and 1940's to remember the joyful Judy Garland of film. We find out in this film that it was not a joyful time for her, though. Through flashbacks we see how she was manipulated by the studio, and fed drugs to wake her up and put her to sleep. This film, largely, covers her concerts in London six months before she died. While it is painful to watch sometimes, Renée Zellweger is magical as Judy Garland. She has just won the Golden Globe for her performance. Well worth watching. In some theaters and available On Demand
