Will Kane is ready to hang up his badge after his wedding to a pacifist when he discovers a killer is coming back on the noon train. The town abandons him and his wife says she will be on the noon train leaving town. However, a man of honor, Kane decides he must stay. This film won 4 Oscars including Cooper as best actor. Three US Presidents (Ike, Reagan, and Clinton) have named it their favorite film.
