Directed beautifully by Chloe Zhao this film(nominated for 8 Oscars including Best Actress, Movie, Director) is based on the book by Maggie O'Farrell who proposes that Will Shakespeare's son dies at age 11 which is true. The circumstances are probably fiction. Jesse Buckley is incredible as Agnes Shakespeare who has healing powers and communes with the forest is fabulous and may well win the Oscar. This movie broke my heart despite the end which is supposed to uplift us. Never-the-less, it is a special film. Of note, the actor who plays Hamnet, Will Shakespeare's son, and the actor who plays Hamlet on stage are brothers.
