Quirky and humorous story of Imogene who is trying to live life in the world of the literati in New York City having escaped from life with her difficult mother in Ocean City New Jersey. When her boyfriend leaves her, an attempted suicide lands her in the Psych ward from where she is delivered to her gambling addicted mother whom she has not seen in many years. While Ocean City is a slap in her face, it turns out to be just what she needs. Kristen Wiig and Annette Benning are delightful. And unlike Bridesmaids there is nothing "icky" about this movie!
