Chief Chick Comments

Of course, Robert De Niro plays a mobster well, and Michelle Pfeiffer has done so before as well (Married to the Mob). While this movie is portrayed as a comedy-almost of of which you see in the trailer, it is in fact a very violent movie. Both of the children have adopted the ways of their parents. Early in the movie in their new location in Normady France, Maggie (Michelle Pfieffer) blows up the local grocery store because they don't like Americans. We see De Niro on a quest to write a book and to make their tap water clear instead of brown. The two teenagers attend the local school and after some recon adjust with their usual ways. I lost count of the number of people killed in this movie. I think we are supposed to be pleased that the family survives, but it is hard as pretty much the whole village has been wiped out. I much prefer "Analyze This" with Billy Crystal and De Niro.
