Yes, there really is an annual Eurovision Song Contest and it has happened every year since the 50's except 2020 because of coronavirus. Released this weekend by Netflix, it is a fun diversion. Lars, Will Ferrell, is a middle age Icelander from a small village who has always wanted to win the Eurovision Contest. The best known winner may be ABBA in 1974 with Waterloo. Anyway, his lifetime friend, Sigrit, played by Rachel McAdams, has joined in his quest but is also in love with Lars. Pierce Brosnan is Lars's Father and is not supportive at all. A big hit is Dan Stevens (from Downton Abbey) who plays the Russian entry and also happens to be a billionaire. He is pretty hilarious. Some good music and some good laughs.
