Juliette Binoche and William Shimmel star as two seeming strangers as he is lecturing and promoting his book about art reproductions in Tuscany. She comes to his lecture with her precocious and mischevous son who demands to leave as he is hungry. She leaves her number for the author, and later he comes to her gallery. They embark on a short road trip to the village of Lucignano where brides and grooms are lined up to wed. It is all in their conversation. Have they met before or not? You see the answer; yet the finale is ambiguous just like their conversation
