Chief Chick Comments

This movie is serene yet sad from time to time. Viggo Mortensen was nominated for an Oscar for his role as the Dad who risks his childrens' well being to make them strong and, at the same time, educates them extensively so that his eldest is accepted at all the major Ivy League schools. The movie seems well paced and teh children are authentic. Mortensen is quite good as is frank Langella who plays his buttoned-down father in law. I enjoyed it much more than I expected. I was prepared to be sad, yet was not…end the end.
