Chief Chick Comments

I am generally inclined to like any movie with Colin Firth or Emily Blunt. So this movie attracted my immediate attention. Fine performances by both as they struggle with the escape and have some fun as well. Wallace is a divorced ex pro golfer who has a chance to be a club pro in Indiana. He fakes his own death and leaves in a nifty blue Mercedes convertible after saving Mike's life from a drug (in this case cough medicine) overdose. They begin to bond and hope for a better future, but cannot really leave the past behind. Wallace's son who hates him, begins to examine his father's life after Dad's reported death. Perhaps he can understand or perhaps not. He seems to bond with Wallace's girlfriend while doing so. She is played by Anne Heche. At the end all is not tied up in a neat package, but there is hope. Like it a lot as a thoughtful movie. Makes one wonder if reinventing yourself might be an idea!
