One of my favorite French films and the one which introduced me to Audrey Tautou. A charming, quirky story about Amelie who is a waitress in a small Parisian cafe and goes to visit her father in the suburbs. Her father is a big fan of garden gnomes which play a fun role throughout the movie. In the meantime, Amelia becomes interested in scraps of photos from photo machines in public places. This story is charming and Tautou shows herself an able actress. Love the quirkiness of this charmer.

Loved this quirky movie, but definitely not for the impatient. Important to follow the story line, even though this film is in subtitles. Loved the characterizations and their development.....loved the Paris city scenes, and loved the quirkiness of this delightful movie
