Lincoln’s Birthday

February 12 is Abraham Lincoln's Birthday. Like many of us born in Illinois, Abe is my favorite President...
He was the 16th President of the United States, known for his honesty, sense of humor, and love of his country. He is considered by many historians to be our greatest President because of the difficult course he successfully set during the Civil War. We feature a couple of movies this week which relate to Abraham Lincoln.
First, a movie from last year called "The Conspirator" which tells the story of the trial of Mary Surratt who was the first woman executed by The United States for her supposed role in the Lincoln Assassination.
Also featured is "Young Mr. Lincoln" starring Henry Fonda in a fictionalized account of Abe's early life and a difficult trial with which he was involved.
