After seeing this movie, you will understand why Julianne Moore was nominated for an Oscar. You will also feel melancholy. Moore plays Alice a Professor at Columbia in New York City who is married to a doctor, and they have 3 grown children. Kristen Stewart plays the youngest, a struggling actress in California. When Alice begins to find herself lost and forgets things, she goes to a neurologist who eventually diagnoses her with early onset Alzheimer's Disease. Her struggle seems so real and so sad. This is a very good movie but obviously without a satisfying happy ending.

Beautifully rendered, without being sentimental or overly emotional. We see ourselves in all of the characters, and are offered the chance to pay respect to those afflicted with the disease. Awesome acting by all, and less than 90 minutes long. Simply amazing.
