This charming fantasy is probably more attractive to our younger members. Never-the-less, I enjoyed this fairy tale of Penelope who was born with the nose of a pig but clearly otherwise is an attractive young lady. Her parents keep her hidden in their mansion, until she becomes an adult. Then a matchmaker tries to find a "blueblood" who will love and marry Penelope in order to break the curse. A reporter who failed to get a picture of Penelope as a baby (her parents faked her death to get rid of the press) finds out she is still around and hires a down and out blueblood gambler. Max agrees to get a picture of Penelope for $5000. However, things do not go as planned. Reese Witherspoon appears midway through the movie as a new friend of Penelope who has never had a friend.
